How are carpet tiles washed on site?
Wall-to-wall carpet tiles cannot be lifted, so they are washed where they are laid. Our on-site carpet washing service uses the dry foam method. The foam works on the surface of the carpet tiles and no water reaches the backing.
Because the carpet tiles are not soaked, this method protects their lifespan and lets the area be used again the same day. The work goes in this order:
- Dry vacuuming
- Before washing, the dust is vacuumed out of the carpet tiles.
- Stain pre-treatment
- Visible stains get a spot pre-treatment before washing.
- Applying the foam
- Foam made with a special detergent is spread evenly over the surface of the carpet tiles with a Taski Ergodisc machine.
- Brushing
- The machine brush works the foam deep into the pile of the carpet tiles and loosens the dirt.
- The carpet tiles do not get soaked and no water reaches the backing.
- Drying
- The carpet tiles are left to dry for 2-3 hours.
- Vacuuming
- Once dry, the carpet tiles are vacuumed with a high-power vacuum cleaner to remove the loosened dirt and foam residue.
